From the northwestern slopes near Vester Jølby, you can see Skyum Bjerge, Vildsund and Rovvig. The flat foreland of Rovvig also consists of seabed reclaimed since the Stone Age.

Koldsvej, between Vester Jølby and Dragstrup, you can look out over the grazed meadows and reed beds around Jølby Nor. The view also opens up at the pump house where Lyngbro Bæk flows into the fjord, taking in the coastal meadows and bay as well as the scrub and reed beds behind them.
Village Layout and Historic Traces
Vester Jølby is laid out as a winding street village. The buildings also reflect the village’s structure: detached farmsteads are integrated alongside single-family homes. Near Rovvig, small houses without land form a notable group along the shore. They date from the 19th century and were originally inhabited by day laborers and fishermen. It is not only the history of the individual houses that is of interest, but also how they are arranged as a group.
Another feature of the area’s history is the star-shaped reorganization of the field layout. In 2004, it was still clearly visible in Vester Jølby and was considered the best example of this type of field reorganization on Mors. The date refers to this historical observation and should not be read as a statement about its current condition.
