Kuna Pelješka offers three distinct starting points for planning your trip: the painter Celestin Mato Medović, an official MTB loop and two wine spots. If you are looking for a hotel in the area, you can first consider whether you would like to focus your stay more on culture, cycling or wine.

Medović and Kuna Pelješka

A monument to Medović, created by Ivan Meštrović, stands in the town center. The painter’s works are displayed in his birth house, the Church of Gospe Delorite and the gallery at the Franciscan monastery. This means you can encounter the artist both through a monument and at three specific exhibition venues. These clearly identified places give Medović’s connection to Kuna Pelješka a tangible cultural presence.

The MTB loop through Kuna

Official MTB Trail 2 is a loop of approximately 39–40 km through Kuna, Janjina, Trpanj and Oskorušno, returning to Kuna. It starts at the Franciscan monastery and the Church of St. Delorita. After the first paved kilometer, the route passes through vineyards; it is explicitly unmarked. The distance gives you a measure for planning your day, while the lack of markings is a key navigation consideration. Check local conditions before setting out and plan carefully for navigation on this unmarked loop.

Wine spots and grape varieties

Two wine spots are associated with Kuna Pelješka: OPG Zlatan Jurović at Kuna 43 and the Vina Violić wine shop at Kuna 38. Vina Violić produces wines from Plavac mali and also offers products associated with the Rukatac and Pošip grape varieties. This lets you distinguish between a winery and a wine shop as different places to visit. Check opening arrangements before your visit.

Nearby: Crkvice

An old road leads down from Kuna Pelješka to Crkvice on the northern side of the Pelješac Peninsula. Crkvice was once a wine-trading port and is now considered a seaside resort with a beach. The place is also associated with Medović’s summer residence from the early 20th century. This extends the connection to Medović beyond Kuna, while Crkvice also links to the region’s former wine trade.
