Lakes and promenade

Lake Bajer is next to Fužine. You can go boating, canoeing, kayaking and windsurfing on the lake. Lepenica is used for swimming in summer; nearby Potkoš is an excursion and picnic area. This offers different ways to enjoy a stay by the water: activities on Lake Bajer, summer swimming at Lepenica, or time for an excursion and a picnic at Potkoš.

A promenade runs along Lakes Bajer and Lepenica. It adds a lakeside walk to the water activities mentioned above. The route is 2.3 kilometres long and takes about 45 minutes. From the viewpoint, you can see Lake Bajer, Fužine, Ličko polje and the surrounding mountains. Trails in Općina Fužine

The wider destination of Općina Fužine also has a described, completely flat 6.3-kilometre trail by Lakes Bajer and Lepenica. Its length and flat terrain are useful reference points when planning a walk. This information differs from the route to the Preradović viewpoint: there, the focus is on the shorter distance and approximate duration, while here it is on the route length and terrain.

The two trail descriptions offer different points of reference for planning your day. You can allow about 45 minutes for the walk to the viewpoint; the lakeside route is listed as 6.3 kilometres long. A promenade along both lakes adds another option. This lets you weigh up which route suits your stay based on the time available and the distance you would like to walk.

Cave and collection

The Vrelo Cave is part of the wider Općina Fužine area. It is 300 metres long and rich in stalactites, stalagmites and other cave formations.
