From there, the view stretches over olive groves and vineyards to the sea; visibility depends on the weather and time of year. Check current trail conditions before setting out on a hike.

The Venetian Lion Trail runs from Antun Korlević Square through historic Višnjan, under the arch with the Venetian lion, to the old village of Barat and back. The route is 4.5 kilometres long and takes about 2.5 hours. This is a guide: walking time and breaks depend on your pace and trail conditions. While the Owl Trail is described in terms of the Vena viewpoint and its varied landscape features, the Venetian Lion Trail passes historic scenery and the old village of Barat. Check the surfaces and trail signs locally.

The Star Trail starts and ends in front of Višnjan Town Hall. It passes through Višnjan, along forest tracks and through vineyards and surrounding villages in the direction of Tičan. There, visitors can see the observatory building with its telescope dome and the Stone Circle installation. The trail is considered easy and undemanding, and suitable for families and recreational cyclists. A much longer route is the Parenzana: this 123-kilometre cycling and walking trail follows a former narrow-gauge railway from Trieste to Poreč and passes through Višnjan. There are rest areas along the route for breaks and information; their number and condition may change. Before setting out, check current information about the trail, signage and access.
