The Feštinsko kraljevstvo Cave is in the village of Feštini, not far from Žminj, and not in Prkačini. Inside, safe paths extend for about one hundred metres. Dripping water shapes underground formations, with pools of water reflecting beneath them. The approximate path length and the formations described give an impression of what makes the cave distinctive.

Culture in the wider destination of Općina Žminj

Žminj is considered a historic crossroads in central Istria. Route 761 Žminj–Feštini starts beside the tower of Žminj, passes through the square in front of the parish church of St Michael, and runs through the old town along the old stone street of Štradi. This makes its starting point and the sections mentioned easy to identify; trail conditions can change, so checking before setting out is recommended.

Žminj Castle was probably built in the 15th century with a square ground plan. Beside it stands the Chapel of the Holy Trinity, decorated in 1471 with artworks by an unknown artist. Today, a smaller part of the citadel is visible, including one of the four round towers, a wing of the fortification, an outer section of the defensive walls, and a well-preserved public water basin dating from 1863. The castle, the chapel, and the visible parts of the citadel each tell a different aspect of Žminj’s history.

Calvary is also in Žminj, in the western part of the town near the road between Pazin and Pula. It was built of stone in 1728 and consists of three crosses enclosed by a wall and secured by an iron gate.
