Selište on the Moslavačka rapsodija
Accommodation in Selište
Selište is a stop on the Moslavačka rapsodija. The access road to Lake Mikleuška passes through Selište; the Crkveni jarak forest trail begins at the lake. For your planning, you can choose between two distinct focuses: a cycling loop and an excursion to a stream, a small waterfall, an archaeological site and a viewpoint. First decide whether you would rather plan your stay around the loop ride or around the destinations along the forest trail.
Cycling the Moslavačka rapsodija
The Moslavačka rapsodija is a circular route of about 23 km starting from Kutina. It passes through Repušnica, Mramor brdo, Ciglenica, Mikleuška and Kompator brdo; Selište is also a stop. The loop uses paved roads and has several small climbs and one larger climb. So, when planning your day, take the elevation profile into account as well as the approximate total distance. You can assess the route using two specific factors: distance and climbs. That way, you consider not only the number of kilometres but also the ride’s profile.
Via Selište to Lake Mikleuška
The access road to Lake Mikleuška passes through Kutina, Kletište, Selište and Mikleuška. It is mostly paved, with one gravel section. Different factors matter when comparing the two rides: for the loop route, the focus is on the approximate total distance and climbs; for the access road to the lake, it is the mix of paved road and gravel. If you include both in your plans, keep these features in mind separately.
Forest trail, Bela crkva and Vis
The Crkveni jarak forest trail begins at Lake Mikleuška. It follows a stream and a small waterfall to the archaeological site of Bela crkva and the Vis viewpoint. You can divide the route into two sections: the section to Bela crkva and Vis, and the possible continuation to Humka. This continuation is optional and can be included as an additional choice in your excursion plans.
A comparison of Vis and Humka
From the Vis viewpoint, the view extends over the lowlands, Lonjsko polje, Kutina and the surrounding area. At 488 metres, Humka is the highest point of Moslavačka gora. There is a covered rest area with a barbecue. The two destinations offer different highlights: Vis is known for its views, while Humka is distinguished by its height and rest area. Conditions on the cycling loop, the road surface on the access route, access and trail markers on the forest path, and facilities at the viewpoint and rest area may change. Check the latest information before your excursion.
Decide whether the cycling loop or the excursion from the lake to Bela crkva and Vis will be your main focus, and whether you would like to include Humka as an optional stop. Then choose your travel dates based on your preferred excursion and check specific hotel offers for your dates.
