Kutina brings together cultural history, educational trails, outdoor activities and regional wine for trip planning. The hiking trails differ in both their approximate time requirements and their focus. Historical highlights range from 18th-century religious architecture to a monastery founded in the 13th century. These differences give you concrete points of reference when planning your stay around your interests.

Culture and History

The Muzej Moslavine Kutina is located in the city centre in a former country estate of the Erdődy family. The Church of Our Lady of the Snows is a highlight of 18th-century religious architecture. Bela Crkva, considered the oldest Pauline monastery in present-day Croatia, lies on the Kutina side of Moslavačka gora. It was founded in the second half of the 13th century. These sites bring together different historical connections: a former country estate, an 18th-century church and a monastery with medieval origins.

Educational Trails by Time and Theme

The Turski stol educational trail is in the city’s sports and recreation zone and links ten interpretive points with an outdoor picnic area. The forest route is 3 kilometres long and takes about an hour on foot. It is suitable for hiking, Nordic walking, mountain biking or running. The Crkveni jarak educational trail is 7.5 kilometres long and takes around two hours on foot. It is classified as easy to moderately difficult and is intended for hiking or Nordic walking. Its themes include the biodiversity and geodiversity of Moslavačka Forest, as well as the history and archaeology of Moslavačka gora. For walking time, Crkveni jarak is the longer option: around two hours compared with about an hour on Turski stol.
