Hochpillberg: Hiking, Art Stations and Views
Accommodation in Hochpillberg
You can plan a stay in Hochpillberg around the experiences that interest you: the Path of the Senses features art stations, a snowshoe hike is designed as a winter tour, and several routes offer views across the Inn Valley.
Art Stations on the Path of the Senses
The Path of the Senses includes art stations such as the Star Garden and the Gate of the Six Senses. These two stations give the artistic focus specific points of reference. If art stations are an important factor in choosing an outing, this path offers a clear thematic option. It differs from routes whose distinctive features are primarily the season, the route sequence or named viewpoints.
Snowshoe Hiking in Winter
By contrast, the Naunz–Loas snowshoe hike is all about winter. The route leads from Hochpillberg through snow-covered forests and meadows to the Naunz Niederleger and onward to the Loas Alpine Inn. It thus combines a specifically named landscape with a clear sequence of waypoints. Snow and trail conditions vary; take them into account when planning and check them for your intended date. Unlike the Path of the Senses, this route is defined by its winter mode of travel and changing conditions.
Compare Panoramic Views
Two routes can be distinguished by their stated viewpoints. Stage 4 of the Tyrolean Silver Path offers views of Kellerjoch, across the Inn Valley and of the Karwendel Mountains. The 4004 Hecherweg offers sweeping views across the Inn Valley. The Inn Valley is common to both; Kellerjoch and the Karwendel add two named destinations to the range of views on the Silver Path stage. When choosing a scenic hike, you can therefore decide whether you prefer views of the Inn Valley alone or also these two additional landmarks.
Circular Hike on Kellerjoch
Another hiking option is the circular hike on Kellerjoch. It leads from Hochpillberg via the Hecherhaus and the KellerjochhĂĽtte, then returns via the Loas. The practical difference lies in the route as described: it is planned as a circular hike with two named intermediate points and a return via the Loas. Hiking conditions may vary depending on the season. This tour can therefore be chosen for its route sequence, while the named panoramic views play a special role on Stage 4 of the Tyrolean Silver Path.
