In Häselgehr, you can include hiking trails, nature watching and active water-based activities in your travel plans. The Brandle circular trail, the paths by Doser Waterfall, white-water sports on the Lech and local recreational facilities each offer a different focus. Which activity you choose also depends on whether you plan to take a circular walk, go on a full-day tour or visit the outdoor pool during its seasonal opening period.

Hiking trails and nature at Doser Waterfall

The Brandle circular trail starts below the church in Häselgehr and takes about an hour. This gives you a rough idea of how long the full loop takes. At Doser Waterfall, two circular hiking trails invite you to explore the area. You can choose between a loop with an approximate time frame and trails that focus on exploring the surroundings.

The Doserbach adds a natural curiosity to a visit to Doser Waterfall: its water dries up every year on November 11 and flows again every year on April 23. Actual water flow conditions may vary. This cycle of drying up and returning follows a recurring seasonal rhythm and gives the natural setting at the waterfall a distinctive feature.

White-water sports on the Lech

The “FUN RAFTING” white-water sports school is located in the Lech meadows of Häselgehr, right by the Lech Cycle Path. The meeting point for the full-day tour “Rafting – Full-day tour on the Lech” is the outdoor base in the Alach district. If you plan to take this tour, check dates and availability before your trip.

The full-day tour covers both the upper and lower sections of the Lech. After a refreshment break, the lower section follows. This means the activity combines two river sections with a break during the day. Compared with the Brandle circular trail, which takes about an hour, the tour’s full-day format requires a very different time commitment.

Outdoor pool and other local activities

Häselgehr outdoor pool is open seasonally. It has a large heated swimming pool and a children’s pool; there is also a mini-golf course. Check opening dates and conditions before your visit. This way, you can take into account that a visit to the outdoor pool depends on the season.

Häselgehr also has a beach volleyball court and a Kneipp facility. The Kneipp stream Otterbach contains sulphur. These local offerings have different focuses: the beach volleyball court and Kneipp facility are amenities, while the Otterbach is a natural feature. Together with the outdoor pool, they offer different ways to enjoy exercise and water, which you can take into account when choosing what to do.

Three factors are particularly important for planning: the Brandle circular trail takes about an hour, the Lech tour is a full-day activity, and the outdoor pool is seasonal. When deciding between these activities, you can first consider the time you have and when you are travelling. Then you can decide whether a hike, a river adventure or a visit to the outdoor pool best suits your travel plans.
