Finds in Winzendorf include fossils from the Gosau Formation, including mussels, snails and corals. The years refer to different events: 1998 to the public presentation of the geotope and 1994 to the start of the casts’ display.

Memorial and remembrance

The memorial to the victims of the fire disaster consists of four stone blocks on black gravel. The sandstone blocks are covered with heavy metal plates, into which the inferno and the names of the victims are engraved. The arrangement of the stones and the contrast between sandstone, metal and inscription thus shape the design of the memorial site. The design brings together two aspects of remembrance: the event itself and the individual victims whose names appear on the plates.
