Daniels: Hotel and Golf in Glade Springs

Daniels in West Virginia has a specifically named hotel property, The Resort at Glade Springs. The resort offers 200 guest rooms and various recreational activities on its grounds, including several golf courses. When choosing a hotel, it is important to check what is actually available for your desired dates and what is included in the booked package.

Rooms and golf as the main considerations

The resort is located in Daniels. A hotel room there is a different choice from a vacation rental or lodge accommodation; compare the specific category on offer. Stonehaven is a public 18-hole championship golf course designed by Tom Clark. It runs along Chatham Lake and through forests of maple, beech, hickory, and oak. The Cobb Course has 51 sand bunkers, eight lakes, and significant elevation changes. Woodhaven offers two nine-hole loops: one with views of Glade Creek Gorge and another through a narrower valley with tall hardwood trees. These courses have different characteristics; tee times, prices, and playing conditions must be confirmed with the provider at the time.

From the black tees, the Cobb Course measures 7,121 yards. Its 51 sand bunkers and more than 200 feet of elevation change make it a different course choice from Stonehaven by the lake. Woodhaven, by contrast, combines gorge views with a section through a narrow valley. These differences can help you ask about a suitable round and tee time before booking. A course description is not a recommendation for a particular skill level, however; personal experience, weather, and course conditions remain decisive.

Other activities at the resort

Glade Springs' field archery course uses eight 3D animal targets in the woods and a variety of shots with different levels of difficulty. Advance reservations are required for the resort's escape rooms. These activities should not be presented as automatically included in the room rate either. If you want to combine golf with other activities, it is best to check the dates, participation requirements, and location on the grounds for each activity. A resort may cover a large area; a room's location relative to a particular course or meeting point cannot be inferred from the address “Daniels” alone.

Even if you are not planning a round of golf, you can still check the specific other activities. The field archery course features eight three-dimensional targets and varying challenges. Advance reservations are explicitly required for an escape room. Ask the resort which activities are open to guests and outside visitors, and whether a separate fee applies. This helps prevent mistaking a listed facility for a confirmed service based solely on the fact that it appears among the amenities.

Read the hotel offer carefully

The stated number of 200 guest rooms confirms that this is a hotel, but it does not mean a room is available on your dates. Compare the room type on offer, actual services, price, cancellation terms, and, if applicable, golf tee times. A specific course such as Stonehaven can be a travel destination without every room including a golf package. If you have other reasons for staying in Daniels, you should also compare the hotel's actual location with your daily itinerary.
