Kenoza Lake offers several distinct points of interest to consider when planning your trip: the construction history of the Stone Arch Bridge, activities in the park, and options for exercise, meditation and dining. The Stone Arch Bridge Historical Park combines a historic landmark with opportunities for fishing, walking and winter activities. Also available are the Movement Studio, Hemlock Spa and the restaurant at Kenoza Hall. You can tailor your search to focus on cultural history, time outdoors, wellness or cuisine.

Stone Arch Bridge Historical Park: History on Site

The Stone Arch Bridge Historical Park covers 20 acres. Its centerpiece is a picturesque three-arch stone bridge. The arches provide a clear architectural focal point for the park, making it especially interesting if you’re interested in historic structures.

The Stone Arch Bridge was originally built in 1882 by Swiss immigrants Henry and Philip Hembt. It was restored by the Division of Public Works in 1980–81. The bridge is also listed on the National Register of Historic Places. Its construction year, subsequent restoration and listing are three distinct aspects of its history.

The park is located at 25 Stone Arch Road, Kenoza Lake, NY 12750. The grounds are open daily from 8:00 a.m. until dusk. Since closing time is tied to dusk, it follows daylight rather than a fixed time.

Walks, Fishing and Winter Activities

At the park, you can fish in the East Branch of the Callicoon Creek and walk along the Worthington Trail. These offer two different ways to spend time outdoors: fishing in the named creek or taking a walk along the trail. You can shape your park visit around your interest in the water or in exploring on foot.

For winter, the park lists sledding, snowshoeing, cross-country skiing and playing in the snow. The options combine snow activities with two forms of winter sport. The park also has a playground for children ages 5 to 12. This age range can help you consider the playground as a separate point when planning your trip, rather than grouping it with the other park activities.

Exercise, Meditation and Dining

The Movement Studio offers aerial yoga, sound meditation, guided meditation and various workshops, among other activities. The program offers an exercise option alongside several forms of meditation, with workshops rounding out the selection. If you’re looking for these kinds of activities when planning your trip, you can consider them a separate focus alongside a visit to the park.

Non-hotel guests are also welcome at Hemlock Spa. This is useful to know when considering a spa experience in Kenoza Lake without needing to be a hotel guest.

The restaurant at Kenoza Hall offers lake views. Its cuisine is shaped by a revival of Old World continental cuisine. The views and culinary focus give the restaurant a different profile from the park activities and the exercise and meditation offerings. This lets you distinguish between architectural history and outdoor activities, wellness offerings, and a restaurant with its own distinctive culinary profile when planning your stay.
