Stout: Find hotels for Freedom Fest

Stout and Freedom Fest

Stout is located on County Road D17. Stout Freedom Fest takes place annually in early July; the 2024 visitor guide describes it as a weekend event for people of all ages. The road and festival dates answer different questions. County Road D17 helps you locate the town; Freedom Fest provides the seasonal occasion. For travelers considering Stout as a destination, the festival brings together a clearly defined time frame and a varied program.

Softball as part of the weekend

Freedom Fest includes softball games. The 2024 visitor guide describes the annual Church League Softball Tournament at the newly renovated Stout Astrodome. In addition to softball games as a general part of the festival, there is an annual tournament with its own name and venue. Those interested in softball can consider the tournament a sporting highlight of the weekend. Its annual nature ties it to the also-annual Freedom Fest, while the Astrodome specifies the venue. This makes it easy to distinguish the sporting events from the park activities and talent show.

Park activities and talent show

Another part of the program takes place in the park. There are activities for children there, as well as the Bill Riley Talent Show. Alongside the tournament, these are two other distinct parts of the festival: children’s activities and a show. When sorting out your interests for the weekend, you can separate these from the sporting events and consider them together as part of the park program. The children’s activities and talent show share a venue but are different program events. The event as a whole is for people of all ages, while the children’s activities refer to a specific part of the program. This lets you plan not only around your interest in softball, but also around the park activities and show.

A treat at the concession stand

The Stout Stuffer Banana Split is available at the concession stand during Stout Freedom Fest. This specific food offering adds another dimension to the weekend’s activities: alongside sports and the park program, there is also a named item at the festival concession stand. When organizing the festival weekend around your interests, you can consider the banana split separately from the tournament and talent show. This makes it possible to think of the festival not only in terms of events, but also in terms of a food offering.

Plan your stay

The weekend format is useful when planning your trip: Freedom Fest is an annual event in early July that lasts a weekend. Check the specific dates for the year in question before setting your stay dates. If you want to include several parts of the program in your trip, you can plan your stay around the entire festival weekend; if a single event is your main reason for going, take its timing into account. This brings together the reason for your trip, the length of the festival, and your hotel search in one continuous plan.
