Payallar: Coastal Paths, Beach and Hapıllar Children’s Park
Accommodation in Payallar
The 4 km-long coastal recreation area lies between the districts of Türkler, Payallar and Konaklı; Hapıllar Children’s Park is in Payallar. Different factors are relevant when planning your stay: route lengths, beach conditions and a park’s facilities each offer their own guidance when choosing activities.
Coastal Recreation Area and Paths
The 4 km-long coastal recreation area between Türkler, Payallar and Konaklı has been completed. Within the area, there is a 1,440-metre green walking path and a 4 km-long cycling path. The walking path is therefore 1.44 kilometres long and shorter than the stated cycling route. If you want to plan your time outdoors around route length, you can choose between the shorter walking path and the longer cycling route. The 4 km measurement for the recreation area describes its coastal extent; the 4 km cycling route is a separate figure.
The recreation area has parking for 105 vehicles. There are bicycle parking facilities at 20 locations, with a total capacity of 100 bicycles. The two figures for bicycle parking refer to different things: 20 is the number of parking locations, while 100 is the total capacity. When planning your journey, you can therefore take into account the relevant figures for cars or bicycles, as well as the route lengths.
Türkler and Payallar Beach
Türkler and Payallar Beach begins at Cape Fuğla and has both rocky and sandy stretches. If you are considering the terrain by the sea when planning your stay, bear this mix in mind: in addition to sandy areas, there are also rocky stretches. Cape Fuğla is also a named landmark used to describe this beach.
Hapıllar Children’s Park
Hapıllar Children’s Park is located on a 2,500-square-metre green space east of Gökçeler Caddesi, on Street 14135. A municipal announcement dated 21 July 2023 reported the opening of the park in Payallar. The description from the same date lists a children’s play area, outdoor fitness equipment, table tennis facilities, and one basketball court and one volleyball court. The facilities described thus combine a play area with fitness, table tennis and ball sports. If you plan to visit the park during your stay, check the current condition of the facilities before your visit.
Other Leisure Options
A municipal tender dated 28 March 2023 mentions three cafeterias at Payallar Beach, set up to meet citizens’ daily needs. If you want to include these cafeterias in your daily plans, check in advance whether they are currently operating.
A municipal sports report dated 28 May 2019 noted that, at the time, football pitches in Payallar were used for matches and training by Alanyaspor’s youth department and local amateur clubs. This historical connection to local clubs adds a sporting perspective to the leisure spots described.
