Discover Duacı: Parks, Trails, and Cultural Heritage
Accommodation in Duacı
With Edip Akbayram Gençlik Parkı, Pati Park, and the “Duacı–Lyrboton Kome” hiking route, Duacı offers several distinct attractions. It is also home to the late antique settlement site of Ahırlı Mevkii. When planning your trip, consider whether you are looking for park trails, facilities for dogs, a longer hiking route, or a connection to Antalya’s history. These themes give you a concrete basis for choosing a hotel for your stay in Duacı.
Edip Akbayram Gençlik Parkı: Trails and Recreation Areas
Edip Akbayram Gençlik Parkı covers around 36,000 square meters in Duacı. It opened in 2025 with the participation of thousands of people. The park’s trails vary in use and length: the walking path is 1,024 meters, the semi-professional running track is 400 meters, and the cycling path is 800 meters. The walking path is the longest of the three, and the running track is the shortest, with the cycling path in between. This makes it easy to compare the different types of activity and trail lengths. The park also has a grass concert area with a capacity of 10,000 people and a modern 400-square-meter children’s playground. Alongside the walking, running, and cycling paths, the concert area and playground also define the character of the park.
Pati Park for Dogs
Pati Park opened on March 22, 2026, as an 800-square-meter dog park within Edip Akbayram Gençlik Parkı. At the time of its opening, the park had separate courses for large and small dog breeds. Its play and training facilities included a sand pit, climbing ramps, jumping rings, a balance board, and adjustable obstacles. There were also seating areas for dog owners, as well as soft-surface areas, water, and rest areas for dogs. At 800 square meters, the dog park is twice the size of the 400-square-meter children’s playground in the park; the two areas are intended for different uses. If you plan to visit Pati Park, it is a good idea to check current access arrangements before your visit.
Hiking Route and Cultural History
The “Duacı–Lyrboton Kome” hiking route is 11 kilometers long and leads to the ancient city of Lyrboton Kome, described as Antalya’s forgotten cultural heritage. Its length sets it apart from the individual paths in the park: it covers 11 kilometers and leads to a named historical destination. Ahırlı Mevkii is another cultural and historical landmark in Duacı. The late antique settlement site was registered as a cultural asset in 2025.
The two historical sites are distinct: Ahırlı Mevkii is the registered settlement site in Duacı, while Lyrboton Kome is the destination of the hiking route. Those interested in the area’s cultural heritage can thus distinguish between a registered settlement site and an ancient destination named along the route. The distances also help with planning: the park trails range from 400 to 1,024 meters, while the hiking route covers 11 kilometers.
Planning Your Stay in Duacı
When choosing a hotel, you can first decide what you want to focus on during your stay: the different trails in the park, the dog-focused Pati Park, or the longer route to Lyrboton Kome. The distances make clear that the park trails and hiking route are different planning options. If you are traveling with a dog, Pati Park offers an additional focus.
