Hiking routes of varying lengths

For a shorter hike, the easy route from Broc via Morlon to Bulle is one option: it is 8.5 kilometres long. The lakeside hike from Broc-Chocolaterie via Morlon to Bulle follows the Sentier du Lac de La Gruyère. The trail stretches for a total of 44 kilometres along the lake and can be divided into several circular sections. This gives you a choice between a marked 8.5-kilometre hike and a longer lakeside trail with various circular sections.

The Sentier du Lac de La Gruyère runs partly along the shore and partly through hilly terrain. The route is well served by regional public transport. Another route option is the Circuit autour du Gibloux: Route 4 passes through Morlon between Bulle and Echarlens.

Church and local history

The parish church of Saint-Grat is part of Morlon’s heritage. Morlon church has three Baroque altarpieces by Pierre Ardieu. A chapel dedicated to Saint Grat was consecrated in Morlon in 1500. Alongside its lakeside setting, these historical details give the village another cultural facet.

Every year, Morlon church also attracts people from outside the parish for baptisms and weddings. Saint Grat is celebrated in Morlon on 7 September. If you would like to plan your trip around a celebration or event, check the dates for the relevant season.
