In Bleket on Tjörn, there are several specific places and activities to choose from when planning your day: Blekets badplats, with its various swimming features; Ingemar’s Trail, which crosses the hills to the east and continues to “Gruvan”; and kayaking options at Kajaktiv Tjörn. There is also the sauna at the harbour and Lottas Bak&Form Surdegsbageri at the far end of the village. You can make swimming, a walk through the hills, paddling or a visit to the bakery different focal points of your stay.

Blekets badplats and the harbour

Blekets badplats is in the southwest of Tjörn. It has a small sandy beach and rocks, as well as a bathing jetty, a diving tower, a swimming platform and a toilet. Sand and rocks define the swimming area, along with its various purpose-built swimming features. If you are planning a visit, you can choose between its different areas and facilities.

In summer, the leisure association Blekets fritidsförening organises swimming lessons at the bathing area. Blekets badplats is accessible via the Bleket hamnplan bus stop. The association’s sauna at Bleket harbour is on the way to the bathing area; parking is also available at the harbour. The bus stop and harbour are therefore useful landmarks for finding your way around.

Ingemar’s Trail over the hills

Ingemar’s Trail runs from the bathing area over the hills to the east and on to “Gruvan” in the centre of Bleket. Unlike a visit to the bathing area, the trail follows a route: it starts at the bathing area, crosses the hills and ends in the village. Trail conditions may change; check the latest information before setting out.

Kayaking options at Kajaktiv Tjörn

Kajaktiv Tjörn’s landing stage in Bleket is the starting point for kayak rentals for independent exploration, guided tours and courses. The options differ in whether you want to explore independently, join a guided tour or take a course. You can start by choosing the kind of paddling you are looking for.
