Els Molinets and the route to Miquelet de la Sella offer a practical starting point for hiking and culture.

Windmills and architectural history

Els Molinets are two circular, slightly truncated-cone-shaped stone buildings with walls more than 1.5 metres thick. Both were built in 1850. In the past, their power was used to grind grain and produce flour. Their design, sturdy walls and former use give the windmills a clearly recognisable historical character.

The equipment inside the Molinets, which had been lost, was restored in 2016 to ensure their preservation. You can currently visit the Molinets inside. You can obtain the key from the local police or the cultural centre; an identity document must be left as a deposit. Before your visit, check whether the key is available and what requirements apply to the identity document.

Hiking and cycling

The Els Molinets i el Miquelet de la Sella route is six kilometres long, takes about two hours and is of low difficulty. It climbs to Miquelet de la Sella and then descends along the slope facing the sea to the La Sella residential area. The approximate duration can help you plan your time; before setting out, also check the current condition of the route, as trail conditions can change.

The 14.3-kilometre Ruta dels Riuraus offers a different way to get around. It runs through the town and over Muntanya de La Sella. It also passes several riuraus in the municipality of Pedreguer and draws attention to the arcaded houses characteristic of Pedreguer. Compared with the six-kilometre hiking route, the cycling route is considerably longer; the two routes also differ in their mode of travel.

A garden visit in Pedreguer

Jardí Mediterrani de l'Albarda is in Pedreguer. It was founded in 1990 on the initiative of the Fundació Enrique Montoliu (FUNDEM) and is managed according to strict sustainability criteria. Covering about 50,000 square metres, the garden is home to more than 700 native plant species, as well as extensive rose and palm collections.

The garden is open to the public every day. Advance reservations are required for guided group visits of at least ten people. Public access and guided group visits therefore involve two different planning considerations: the garden opens daily, but a guided visit must be booked in advance. Check the latest opening and reservation details before your visit.

More places to visit and leisure activities

At Centro Paramita, guided visits are available only on selected dates; no visits take place outside these times. Check the dates before planning your visit. Compared with the garden, which is open daily, access here is more closely tied to specific visiting times.

La Sella Tennis & Padel has seven professional tennis courts: five clay courts and two artificial-grass courts. There are also three outdoor padel courts, including a panoramic court. Lessons and tournaments are also available. If you would like to include tennis or padel in your travel plans, you can choose based on the sport and court surface. As facilities and programmes can change, check the latest court and activity information in advance.
