These topics highlight different sides of the destination. You can weigh up whether the beach, a bike ride or a cultural event matters more to you according to your own interests.

Beach and orientation

Cala Millor beach is also known as Son Moro or Cala Nau and is shared by the municipalities of Sant Llorenç and Son Servera. If you come across either of the two names, it does not refer to an additional beach, but is an alternative name for the same place. This makes it easier to make sense of the different place names when looking into the beach.

Beach facilities include a lifeguard station, buoys marking the area designated for yachts, a first-aid station, several ramps for guests with disabilities and a car park. As service availability may change, check the latest conditions before your trip.

Cycling path along the promenade

A cycling path runs along the beachfront promenade, allowing you to continue towards S’Illot. This means you can factor a ride along the promenade into your travel plans alongside the beach. If you are planning a specific bike ride, check the route using up-to-date information.

Culture in Cala Millor

During its season from September to July, the Auditòrium Sa Màniga offers workshops, courses, conferences, stage events and seminars. The programme also includes educational activities for the municipality’s schools, public creative activities and continuing education. The offering therefore includes events, learning and creative formats. If you would like to plan a visit around a particular programme item, check the current programme at the Auditòrium Sa Màniga.

Mallorca: regional context

The most common way to reach Mallorca is by flying to Palma de Mallorca Airport. From there, there are direct connections from many European cities to major Spanish and international cities. Check connections again before booking.

The Serra de Tramuntana is a UNESCO World Heritage mountain landscape featuring cliffs descending to the sea, green valleys and clear mountain streams. Its cultural landscape is characterised by agricultural terraces, interconnected waterworks including watermills, dry-stone structures and farmhouses. It is also the largest protected natural area in the Balearic Islands. The GR-221, also known as the Ruta de la Pedra en Sec, crosses the Serra. In Mallorca, the GR-221 crosses the Serra de Tramuntana; the Artà-Lluc route GR-222, by contrast, connects the Llevant mountain ranges and their natural park with the central area of the Serra de Tramuntana.
