Minduri: Routes, Views and Cultural Heritage
Accommodation in Minduri
Minduri is served by the BR-383. This is an initial road reference for your journey; check road conditions before setting out. Directions to the natural attractions also start in Minduri, but involve different directions and turns. It is best to keep the details for each destination together so that directions to Chapada das Perdizes remain distinct from those to Cachoeira do Quebra-Chifre.
Route to Chapada das Perdizes
The route to Chapada das Perdizes begins in the center of Minduri on the road to Carrancas. After 1 kilometer, turn right. The directions follow a clear sequence: first the town center as the starting point, then the road to Carrancas, and then the turnoff. The route from Minduri to Chapada also provides access to Cachoeiras da Prata. So if you are heading to Chapada, you can also consider these waterfalls when planning your nature destination.
Route to Cachoeira do Quebra-Chifre
A separate set of directions leads to Cachoeira do Quebra-Chifre. From Minduri, drive toward São Vicente, turn left after 5 kilometers, and turn left again after another 300 meters; the route then passes through Fazenda do Monjolinho. The distance to the waterfall is approximately 12 kilometers. Check road conditions and signage again before setting out. The 300 meters refers to the distance between the two left turns; the approximately 12 kilometers refers to the route to the waterfall. The routes can therefore be distinguished by their details: the route to Chapada specifies a right turn after 1 kilometer, while the route to Cachoeira do Quebra-Chifre involves two left turns, a named farm, and an approximate total distance.

The northern mountainous area of the municipality of Minduri is part of the Planalto Compartimentado da Serra da Mantiqueira; most of the region lies on the Planalto de Cruzília. In the municipality of Minduri, the elevated location of Árvore de Óleo offers visitors a privileged view of the town of Minduri and the Planalto Compartimentado da Serra da Mantiqueira to the north of the municipality.
Municipal cultural heritage
The municipality of Minduri has protected Casa da Estação Ferroviária and Paredão da Avenida Getúlio Vargas since May 5, 2005. The protection is based on Municipal Decree No. 798 for Casa and No. 799 for Paredão. In 2004, the municipality of Minduri protected Árvore de Óleo under Municipal Decree No. 670 because of its historical, natural, and landscape value. At Árvore, landscape and cultural heritage come together: its elevated location offers views of the town and the northern plateau, while the protection decision cites historical, natural, and landscape values.
