When looking for a hotel in Belczna, you can choose your destination based on church and manor-house architecture, or on parkland and mature trees. Local points of interest include the Parish Church of Saints Peter and Paul, the manor house on the estate, the landscape park, and the former rectory with Dworek Tradycja. These features offer different points of interest: church architecture and the history of the estate sit alongside the park and natural monuments.

Church, Manor House and Park in Belczna

The Parish Church of Saints Peter and Paul is described as Neo-Gothic and dating from the 18th century. It contains four stained-glass windows from 1914. Two distinct points of reference can therefore help place the church in context: the building’s attributed style and date, and a dated detail of its furnishings.

The 19th-century park and the manor house on the estate are listed in the register of monuments. The manor house in Belczna is described as eclectic and dating from the 19th and 20th centuries. The landscape park covers about 5 ha and lies in the eastern part of the estate’s parkland. Its mature trees are fairly well preserved, with some reaching monumental proportions. The park is characterized as a degraded hornbeam woodland. Thus, within the estate’s parkland, the manor house and landscape park appeal to different architectural and landscape interests.

The former rectory opposite the church houses Dworek Tradycja. Beside Dworek Tradycja stand yew trees designated as natural monuments. These local points of interest complement the church and estate with another building and a named natural monument.

The described Nordic walking routes also start in Łobez, at Polana Jahna. Route 1 is 4.5 km long and takes about 1 hour and 10 minutes; Route 2 is 2.8 km long and takes about 45 minutes. The comparison is clear: Route 2 is both shorter and has a shorter stated duration. Route 1 is correspondingly the longer route with the longer estimated time.

The blue-marked Szlak Mocy i Tradycji hiking trail offers a different scale: it is 43 km long and starts and ends in the square in front of the railway station in Łobez. The route passes through the Wysoczyzna Łobeska and the Równina Nowogardzka, as well as through the municipalities of Łobez and Resko. Along the way, it crosses fields, mixed forests, hills, valleys and wetlands, crosses the Rega several times, and runs alongside it in several places. The regional routes therefore differ not only in length, but also in the landscapes described for each one.
