Landscape in the Parsęta Valley
Bogucino lies in the Parsęta Valley and on moraine hills. The elevation ranges from 7.5 to 32.5 metres above sea level. This range makes the transition between the valley floor and the higher hills tangible.
From Bogucino, you can enjoy a view of the Parsęta Valley, whose slopes descend steeply to the river. There are numerous small springs on the wooded hills near Bogucino. For nature enthusiasts, Bogucino combines valley views with springs.
Grodzisko and former cemetery
The conical Grodzisko is located on a hill north of the road from Bogucino to Pustary and dates from the 12th to 14th century. With a diameter of 30 to 33 metres and a height of about 4 metres, it is considerably wider than it is high. These dimensions convey the broad, low-lying shape of the mound.
The former Evangelical cemetery in Bogucino is now closed. The site is shaped like a regular trapezoid and covers 0.28 hectares; its original layout is only faintly discernible. Old oaks, lime trees and spruces, historic grave elements, and an enclosure have been preserved. At the Grodzisko, the terrain structure takes centre stage; at the cemetery, it is the surviving vegetation and historic elements.
