Brylińce lies south of Krasiczyn, at the foot of Kopystnianka. The village offers two specific perspectives to help you plan your trip: its historic religious architecture and a hiking trail that runs through the village. If you are looking for hotels for a trip to Brylińce, these highlights can help you choose a destination that suits your interests. The village’s features range from a church in the center to roadside chapels and a trail that crosses a stream several times.

Church, Chapels, and Local History

At the beginning of the 15th century, Brylińce was the seat of an Orthodox parish. The Greek Catholic Church of St. Basil the Great dates from 1883 and is still used as a church today. It stands on a hill in the center of the village; the brick building has a central dome. The village’s history thus includes both an earlier religious role and a church built at a later date. The construction date, brickwork, and dome refer to different aspects: the period, the material, and the architectural form.

Numerous 19th-century chapels stand along the roads toward Rokszyce and Koniusza. Unlike the central church, they are spread along roads in two directions. This creates a contrast for anyone exploring the religious architecture: a single church in the center and several chapels along the roads. In addition to religious buildings, the architectural heritage also includes several surviving houses built in the Przysłup style.

Southeast of the church, in a group of trees, is a military cemetery from the First World War. It contains twelve mass graves. The cemetery therefore offers a different historical focus from the church and chapels: it is associated with the First World War. Its location southeast of the church and the surrounding trees also describe its setting in the village.

Hiking Trails and Getting Your Bearings

A hiking trail runs from Olszany to Brylińce along a paved road, then turns left to reach the village. The trail continues south through all of Brylińce, crossing a stream several times along the way. For planning your route, you can think of it in two sections: the approach from Olszany to the village and the subsequent walk through Brylińce. The village is therefore described not only as the trail’s destination but also as part of its onward route.

The red Przemyśl–Bircza–Sanok hiking trail also runs through Brylińce. If you are interested in hiking, you can find a named trail through the village in addition to the specific details about the road, turnoff, and stream crossings. Check the route and local conditions before setting out.
