Polańczyk: Spa Resort, Walking Trails and History
Accommodation in Polańczyk
When looking for a hotel in Polańczyk, it is worth first considering which side of the town you want to shape your stay. Polańczyk combines its status as a spa resort with walking trails, religious history and opportunities on the water. This gives you several different options: a route through fields and beech forest, the history of the sanctuary, or spa treatments and boat trips. You can therefore tailor your choices to what you would like to experience in the area. This helps you first assess the destination according to your interests, and then look for hotels in Polańczyk.
Spa Resort and Healing Waters
Polańczyk has held spa resort status since 1999. The spa and recreation facilities are located on a peninsula that extends far into the waters of the Solina Reservoir. In Polańczyk, the active ingredients in the local healing waters are used for drinking cures and therapeutic baths. The resort’s status, water treatments and location each shape its character in a different way. When planning your trip, you can therefore decide whether to focus on its spa resort status, the location of its facilities on the peninsula, or its healing-water treatments.
Walking Trails with Different Character
The route description from the municipal cultural and tourism center gives an approximate duration of 1.5 to 2 hours for the yellow-marked Perła Polańczyka circular trail. It passes through fields and meadows; its final section runs through a beech forest. Along the way, it passes viewpoints on Kabajka and Horb. Horb lies at an elevation of 560 m and offers a panorama of Polańczyk. The approximate duration gives you a specific point of reference for planning your day.
The Cypel Polańczyka walking trail has a different focus: it leads through a forest down to the shore of a quiet lake cove and past numerous sailing jetties, swimming areas and a landing stage for excursion boats. The facilities there may operate seasonally. By comparison, Perła focuses on a route through fields and meadows, beech forest and viewpoints, while Cypel focuses on the descent through the forest to the shore and the facilities by the water.
A Church with Its Own History
The present-day brick church of the Sanctuary of Our Lady of Beautiful Love in Polańczyk was built in 1909. It has been used as a Roman Catholic parish church since 1948. The two dates mark different stages: the construction of the building and the start of its use as a parish church. The main altar features an icon of Our Lady of Łopienka, transferred here from the church in Łopienka. Those interested in religious and local history will find a distinct point of interest here alongside Polańczyk’s spa and nature attractions.
Boat Trips and Yachting at the Ekomarina
Ekomarina Polańczyk offers boat trips with experienced skippers, as well as the opportunity to steer a yacht yourself. This gives you two different ways to enjoy the water: a trip with experienced skippers or steering a yacht yourself. If you plan to take up either option, check in advance which one is available on your dates.
