This makes it possible to distinguish between the two lakes based on the specific interests mentioned: Jezioro Mezowskie Małe combines its location on the outskirts with an island and fishing, while kayaking is also possible on Jezioro Dzierżąskie.

SeliRaj and street workout

SeliRaj is located at 2 Słoneczna Street in Dzierżążno. Its offerings include walks with sociable alpacas, as well as cuddling and feeding them. Alpaca therapy is offered individually and in groups for children and adults. SeliRaj also organizes meetings and workshops for schools, preschools and so-called green schools. As the offerings may change, it is advisable to make contact in advance; advance booking is recommended for school and group visits.

Three street workout machines were installed at the primary school in Dzierżążno. The installation was reported as complete in September 2021. The tourism and leisure investment was intended to give residents and tourists in the Kashubian Switzerland access to high-quality street workout equipment. In the wider destination of Karthaus, Kartuzy offers a distinctive cultural and active-lifestyle focus. Its Gothic collegiate church dates from the 14th century, is one of Pomerania’s most valuable architectural monuments and is unique at the national level. It bears witness to the work of the Carthusian Order. Its distinctive features include a Baroque roof shaped like a coffin lid, symbolizing the Order’s monastic ideal and the motto “memento mori.”

The Franciszek Treder Kashubian Museum in Kartuzy presents Kashubian heritage: literature, material culture, language, and regional history and traditions. The exhibits are displayed in eight rooms in the main building. They include Bazyli’s forge, the exhibition “Kaszubska współczesność z korzeni wyrasta” and temporary exhibitions.

For outdoor exercise, the wider destination of Karthaus also has a described Nordic walking route, Route No. 1. The 8.4-kilometre route takes about two hours and runs from Ławka Asesora via Kosy and Bilowo to Kartuzy.
