Rabka-Zdrój offers several highlights to help you plan your trip: Park Zdrojowy in the centre of Rabka-Zdrój, a brine inhalatorium, marked hiking trails, a lookout tower and a museum. If you are looking for a hotel, these places can help you tailor your stay to your interests—whether you want to explore parks, get active, enjoy the views or discover regional culture.

Park, gardens and brine inhalatorium

Park Zdrojowy covers 30 hectares. Its western section contains ten themed gardens, including a rose garden, a rock garden, a garden for climbing plants and a heather garden. The park also has a health trail, an outdoor gym, a beach volleyball court, tennis courts and children’s playgrounds. Individual facilities may be subject to restrictions for maintenance; if you want to use a particular one, check its current status in advance.

Tężnia Solankowa, an open-air inhalatorium, is located at the edge of Park Zdrojowy. Visitors walk around the column while inhaling brine aerosol. This makes the tężnia a distinct stop focused on health and relaxation, without requiring any further health claims.

Rabczańskie Bulwary nad Poniczanką combine a pedestrian promenade with a cycle path. This offers different ways to get around along the river: on foot along the promenade or by bike on the cycle path. The park, tężnia and boulevards thus offer different ways to spend time outdoors.

Hiking trails and views

The marked hiking trail network in Rabka-Zdrój includes two routes of different lengths and with different destinations: a 2.4-kilometre trail through Park Zdrojowy and a 4.8-kilometre route from the park to Góra Krzywoń. The starting point for the recreational routes is Park Zdrojowy in the centre, at the intersection of Orkana and Chopina streets. The distances and destinations give you clear guidance when choosing a hike by length or direction.

Rabka-Zdrój also lies on the 519-kilometre Główny Szlak Beskidzki. From Rabka, the trail leads to Turbacz, the highest peak in the Gorce at 1,310 metres. The park routes and long-distance trail mentioned here represent different kinds of hiking: short, precisely measured local routes and a link to a regional trail.

A lookout tower over 25 metres high stands on Królewska Góra. From there, panoramic views stretch across the Gorce, Beskid Wyspowy, Babia Góra and the Tatra Mountains. The blue hiking trail leads to the tower from Kościuszki Street, in the direction of the pass between Bania and Grzebień. The Leśna Ścieżka Edukacyjna is designed for active recreation and nature education for children and young people.

Museum and Palm Sunday

The Władysław Orkan Museum is housed in the bell tower of a listed larch-wood church dating from 1606. Its exhibitions present the tangible and intangible heritage of the Podhalanie, Zagórzanie, Kliszczaki, Babiogórzanie and White Gorals. Musical instruments on display at the museum include gusle, the Fujara postna and the trembita from the Podhale microregion. A visit to the museum thus combines the history of the building with insights into the culture of various Highlander groups and examples of specific musical instruments.

Another cultural highlight in the annual calendar is the Easter Palm Competition, held in Rabka-Zdrój every year on Palm Sunday. It is described as one of the oldest competitions of its kind in Poland; Easter stalls are also part of the event. If you want to plan your stay around it, check the specific event dates before travelling.
