Coastal trail and landscape

The Sentier ornithologique du littoral de Saint-Félix is an approximately 2.5-kilometre coastal walking trail. It passes through pastureland, along beaches and through wetlands such as salt flats and mangroves. Joggers use the trail; it also offers a chance to observe marine erosion and ongoing urbanisation. Nature and landscape enthusiasts can enjoy views of changes along the coast.

During a guided walk in 2025, participants observed frigatebirds over the sea, yellow warblers in dry and swamp forests, and herons and wading birds in salt flats and mangroves. These sightings relate to that visit and are not guaranteed on other dates.

Beach, island views and aquarium

Plage de la Datcha is in the centre of Le Gosier and offers a view of Îlet du Gosier. It is suitable for swimming and watching the sunset. Here, swimming and views of the evening sky take centre stage at a centrally located beach.

The Aquarium de la Guadeloupe offers an interactive experience with more than 50 tanks showcasing various Caribbean marine ecosystems. This makes it a different kind of visit from a beach or coastal trail, with a focus on underwater habitats.

Boat trips

Organised catamaran trips depart from the marina. You can explore nearby lagoons or view the seabed. Operators and timetables may vary; check the date in advance if a trip is important to your plans.
