Museum on the Boyne and Banting Homestead

The Museum on the Boyne is located at 250 Fletcher Crescent, beside Riverdale Park. Its exhibits explore the region’s Indigenous history, local people and landmarks, Alliston Pottery, and works by local artists. A collection of Maple Leaf Pottery and Alliston Pottery showcases examples of local craftsmanship and ceramic traditions.

For children and families, the museum offers search-and-find activities as well as hands-on arts and crafts. A small museum shop sells local honey, books, special gifts and sweets; the selection may change. The museum’s regular hours are Wednesday through Saturday, 10:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.

Banting Homestead is located at 5116 Sir Frederick Banting Road in Alliston and is open to the public on Tuesdays and Saturdays from 10:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Saturday is the regular shared visiting day for both locations. Opening hours may change; check the hours before your visit, especially if you plan to visit both places on the same day.
