Marion Bridge is located on Route 327, halfway along the Mira River. It is also approximately halfway between the river’s source in Grand Mira and its mouth at Mira Gut. Local landmarks include the river and the bridge after which Marion Bridge was named. Two Rivers Wildlife Park adds wildlife attractions, trails and river access to the area.

Wildlife and Trails at Two Rivers Wildlife Park

Two Rivers Wildlife Park is home to more than 50 species of native and non-native animals and birds. Attractions include a petting zoo, hiking and snowshoeing trails, wagon rides, a “U-fish” pond and a children’s playground. The park’s 1 km Wildlife Trail is home to more than 40 species of native and exotic wildlife and birds. The two figures refer to different areas: the first to the park, and the second specifically to the Wildlife Trail.

There are several ways to experience the natural attractions: the Wildlife Trail combines a specific trail length with wildlife and bird species, while the park also offers other trails, rides and activities. If you’re choosing between a trail and other activities, this distinction helps you keep the park’s different highlights in mind.

Rivers, Boat Launch and Seasonal Camping

Within the park, there is direct access to the Mira River and the Salmon River. Both day visitors and campers can use the boat launch. Alongside the wildlife and trails, the park therefore offers a direct connection to two rivers and a clearly identified way to use the launch.

Overnight camping is available from May 15 to October 31. This season information can help with planning; confirm availability separately when making your booking.

Local History and Getting Around

Marion Bridge is named after the bridge of the same name over the Mira River. The present-day concrete road bridge was built in 1982 to replace an older bridge. The town’s name is thus connected to a river crossing, while the construction year dates the current bridge. The area also has a musical connection: Allister MacGillivray brought Marion Bridge to international attention with the song “Out On The Mira.”
