The cycling routes and cultural sites described in the following sections are in the municipality of Arzergrande; the Ca’ di Mezzo Oasis is in the surrounding area. This lets you decide whether cycling, the history of the Casoni, or birdwatching will shape your stay.

Cycling routes in the municipality of Arzergrande

Four cycling routes in Arzergrande are considered short and very easy; they follow cycle paths and country roads. Two routes can be distinguished in more detail by their named roads, paths, and waterways.

The “Schilla” route starts in the square in Arzergrande. From there, it follows Via Bassa to Osteria del Sole, then Via Caresin, Via Contarina, and Via Marconi. It then runs along the embankment of the Fossa Schilla and continues to the Scolo Altipiano. This sequence of waypoints gives the route a clear course through the municipality.

The “delle acque” route also starts in the square in Arzergrande and initially follows Via Bassa to Osteria del Sole. It then continues to Via Montin and along the embankments of the Scolo Acque Straniere, the Scolo Altipiano, and the Arzeron Basso. This route therefore focuses on different waterways and embankments from the “Schilla.”

The “Schilla” is about 8 km long, and the “delle acque” is about 4 km. For the “delle acque,” add 2 km each way from Arzergrande; factor this extra distance into your plans. Also check local conditions before cycling.

The Cesarina Foresti Museum Room is at Via Bassa 3 in Arzergrande. The address provides a specific point of reference for a culture-focused stay.

Casoni and the Casone Azzurro

Until 2004, there were two inhabited Casoni in the municipality of Arzergrande. One collapsed in 2004 following a snowfall; the other was entrusted to the municipality. The Casone Azzurro was restored in 2008, furnished with original furniture, and painted azure blue. Thus, both the former use of the Casoni and the collapse of one of them, as well as its restoration, are specific historical points of reference for the municipality.

The Casone Azzurro can be visited by prior reservation only. Before your trip, check whether visits are currently possible.

Birdwatching in the surrounding area

At the Ca’ di Mezzo Oasis, birdwatchers can use observation hides among the vegetation. This offers another option for your plans if you would like to include birdwatching alongside cycling routes and cultural attractions.
