Pur: Art in the Pine Forest and Beach on Lake Ledro
Accommodation in Pur
Pur brings together two different highlights for your stay: Ledro Land Art in the pine forest and Spiaggia di Pur on the southern shore of Lake Ledro. The beach is set in peaceful, green surroundings. This makes both outdoor art and the lakeshore central to planning your trip to Pur.
Ledro Land Art and Spiaggia di Pur
Ledro Land Art is an open-air art exhibition in the pine forest of Pur. It comprises more than 30 site-specific works inspired by the relationship between people and the natural environment. Site-specific means that the works are connected to their particular location. The pine forest is therefore the setting for an exhibition that explores the relationship between people and nature.
Spiaggia di Pur lies on the southern shore of Lake Ledro and offers a second focal point for your stay. If you would like to include both art and the lakeshore in your travel plans, Pur offers these distinct highlights: the exhibition in the forest and the beach in peaceful, green surroundings.
Routes around Pur
The Ledro Trek Low reaches Pur at Via Casarino. From Pur, the route continues to the starting point of Ledro Land Art and through the pine forest. Its course therefore connects the village of Pur with the art exhibition. Route conditions may vary; check conditions before setting out.
La Boemia in Valle di Ledro reaches Pur along the lakeshore. After Pur beach, the route follows the cycle path back to Pieve. The Giro del Lago di Ledro is another useful reference for finding your way: it runs along the lake and past the forests of Pur, and is accessible by public transport.
The routes described here have different highlights: on the Ledro Trek Low, the section from Pur leads to the starting point of Ledro Land Art and through the pine forest. By contrast, after Pur beach, La Boemia in Valle di Ledro follows the cycle path back to Pieve.
Beach visits and practical conditions
For the SUP tour on Lake Ledro, Pur is one of four beaches around the lake where you can start. Molina di Ledro was chosen as the starting point because the beach there is easy to access. Water conditions may vary; check current conditions before your tour.
Between Molina and Pur, the route follows a narrow road open to traffic, with no pavement. Traffic may be heavier in summer; take particular care on this section. Bear this road condition in mind when planning your routes between Molina and Pur.
At Pur beach, seasonal lifeguard supervision as part of the “Spiagge Sicure” project is provided from 10:30 to 17:30. Check the hours before your visit. Together with the different route options, this information can help you plan your stay in Pur around the beach, art and trails.
