Argelato: Villa History, Technology and the Reno

Two distinct milestones in the town’s history therefore sit side by side: the donation in the early 12th century and the construction of Villa Beatrice in the second half of the 16th century.

Technology and design at the Ferruccio Lamborghini Museo

The Ferruccio Lamborghini Museo is located in a former industrial building in Funo di Argelato. Its collection includes Lamborghini tractors and cars, as well as an offshore powerboat and a helicopter. One of its notable exhibits is the “Barchetta,” built for the Mille Miglia in 1948.

The museum also features a reconstruction of Ferruccio Lamborghini’s first personal office. An exhibition of industrial design products from the 1950s to the 1970s broadens the focus beyond vehicles and technology to include design. The museum thus ranges from different types of vehicles to working environments and design history.

The Reno, shooting stars and other activities

The Ciclovia del Reno stretches for 42 kilometres along the embankment of the Reno River. In Argelato, it also follows the embankment; overall, the route connects eight municipalities. The 42 kilometres refer to the Ciclovia as a whole, while the local reference describes its course along the Reno embankment in Argelato.

“Serata sotto le stelle” offers a different kind of occasion: it is an established tradition of watching shooting stars at Parco dell'Oratorio del Savignano.
