Beaches and Getting Around the Shoreline
Balatonszepezd has an almost 7 km-long shoreline and four beaches. At Központi strand, the railway station and bus stop are useful landmarks; Szepezdfürdői and Viriusi strand each offer different access points. Rákóczi Fürdőegyesületi szabad strand is on the western side of the village. This gives you different local reference points when choosing a beach and finding your way around.
Központi strand is a two-minute walk from both the railway station and the bus stop in Balatonszepezd. Water sports equipment is available there. Several water access points include a ramp for people with reduced mobility; there are also a diving platform and a bathing jetty. Free parking is available at the beach, along with two buffets on the beach grounds and a restaurant by the entrance. If dining options are an important part of your plans, check the current situation before your visit, as individual businesses may change. The short walks from the railway station and bus stop, and the water sports equipment, offer different points of reference when choosing a beach.
At Szepezdfürdői strand, access from Révfülöp is via the first barrier-controlled railway crossing with traffic lights. Facilities include a sand playground, a sports field, and a fitness park. The same three facilities are also available at Viriusi strand, accessed via the staircase opposite Üdülő utca. The two beaches thus offer the same listed play and sports facilities, but have different access routes.
Local History and Events

The church, collection, and promenade add further local points of interest to the beach-related attractions.

Hegyestű also has a rock garden featuring characteristic rock types of Transdanubia, the western half of Hungary.
