Leisure by the water and on two wheels

The Ózdi horgásztó offers a different way to spend time by the water: there is a walking trail, and the lake is set up for fishing and camping. This means you can enjoy a route by the water as well as two other types of activity. Unlike the thermal baths, the focus here is on activities around the lake rather than indoor pools and wellness amenities.

Ózd’s cycling network is also complete. This adds a distinct focus for cycling enthusiasts, different from a single visit to the thermal baths, lake or an exhibition. Together, these options offer different ways to plan a stay, without all activities having the same character.

Experience Hungarian film history interactively

The Nemzeti Filmtörténeti Élménypark presents the past 100 years of Hungarian filmmaking in an interactive way. The park’s trail brings the subject to life: film clips, technical equipment and iconic figures help convey the material. The presentation thus combines a century-long perspective on film history with specific cinematic and technical elements.

At every departure in the park, a war backdrop is inserted using green-screen technology. If you plan to try this attraction, it is advisable to check the latest operating details before your visit. Alongside its interactive presentation of film history, the park also offers a distinct technical experience, with a different focus from the exhibition.

Animal encounters and industrial heritage

At Drótos Állatsimogató, children and adults can get to know friendly animals up close. The enclosures are arranged around a central rest area with benches and tables, where visitors can watch the animals. Encounters and observation go hand in hand here: the layout includes both the enclosures and a place to sit and spend time. Following the relocation in 2025, it is advisable to check current visitor arrangements before your visit.

The Ózdi Muzeális Gyűjtemény and Gyártörténeti Emlékpark offer a different perspective on Ózd. They preserve and present the city’s industrial past and the lives of the people who worked there. The focus is therefore on Ózd’s working and industrial history, while the Filmtörténeti Élménypark covers the past 100 years of Hungarian filmmaking.
