Grambow can be explored from several angles: the village church represents architectural history, Immenwiese focuses on beekeeping and nature conservation, and the Grambow Moor offers another destination for walks and excursions. There are also activities at Gut Grambow and a walking tour through the village. This offers a mix of local history, nature-related topics and activities to help you plan your trip.

Village Church and History in the Village Landscape

Grambow Village Church is a hall church built in the 13th century from neatly layered ashlar fieldstones. This identifies its construction period, architectural form and material. A hall church is a church with a single, unified interior space; the fieldstone ashlar also gives a concrete impression of the construction method. A walk through Grambow takes you along old cobblestones beneath tall lime trees. Numerous information boards along the route tell the history of the village. The church and the boards offer different perspectives: the historic building is the focus at the church, while the boards explore local history.

Moorland Trails and Guided Excursions

A signposted nature trail and circular hiking route, established by the support association, runs through the Grambow Moor and can be accessed from Grambow. From April to August, small groups can arrange guided walks and excursions in the moor through the support association or the information centre at Gut Grambow. If you are planning such a tour, arrange a date in advance with one of the contacts listed. The pilgrimage route of Saint Birgitta of Sweden, the Bee Route and the long-distance hiking trail Naturparkweg e9a also lead to Grambow. These names indicate different types of routes: a pilgrimage route, a bee route and a long-distance hiking trail.

Immenwiese: Beekeeping, Nature and Play

Immenwiese, a small open-air museum dedicated to the history of beekeeping, insects and nature conservation, is located in the centre of Grambow. Visitors can watch bee colonies at work in observation hives. Immenwiese also has a large play and sports area, a giant hillside slide and a giant Viking swing. Beekeeping and nature conservation are therefore featured alongside play and sports activities. Tours for groups and school classes can be arranged through the “Unser Grambow” support association. If you are planning a visit for a specific date, check availability in advance.

Activities and Dining at Gut Grambow

Gut Grambow has a 3D shooting centre. Alongside courses leading to the hunting exam, the hunting school offers continuing education and nature seminars for the whole family. Seminar availability and booking and operating arrangements may change; if you have specific plans, check the current conditions in advance. The “Schmiede 16” restaurant at Gut Grambow specialises in regional game and beef from the estate. Game specialities are also available to take away. As opening arrangements may change, check the current opening hours and takeaway conditions before planning a visit.
