Discover Boos: Architectural History and Festivities
Accommodation in Boos
Boos brings together historic architectural landmarks and two examples of events from different years: the 2025 Fête de la Moisson and Tout Boos Bouge 2023. When choosing a hotel in Boos, these themes may be just as relevant as travel via Rouen - Vallée de Seine Airport, which is located in the commune. The event programmes differed considerably: one focused on the harvest and agriculture, the other on sport and physical activity.
Architectural history in Boos
The Colombier de Boos has been classified as a Monument Historique since 1889. The Church of Saint-Sauveur offers another historical point of interest: traces from the 13th century can be found there, while the choir and nave date from the 16th and 17th centuries. These dates refer to different features of the church and do not describe a single construction phase.
Later works are also part of its history. The church underwent several repairs in the 18th and 19th centuries, affecting the bell tower, sacristy, roof and porch. Saint-Sauveur was also under the patronage of Saint-Amand Abbey in Rouen (Seine-Maritime). The church’s history thus combines architectural dates with a historical patronage relationship.
Harvest festival and sporting event
The Fête de la Moisson took place on 7 September 2025 as a new edition in Boos’s municipal park. The programme included a farmers’ market starting at 10 a.m. There was also a mini-farm, a tractor parade and an exhibition of tractors and vintage vehicles. A demonstration showed traditional threshing methods. Pony rides with Alisa were planned for children aged 3 to 6, and carriage rides were also part of the programme. This example therefore included both market activities and demonstrations and rides.
Tout Boos Bouge had a different focus. The sporting event was held for the fifth time in September 2023. The programme included mountain biking, cycling, hiking, a pétanque tournament, dancing, running and body karate. Zoé’s participation in the walking event was also part of that edition; it was made possible with the support of the API Joelette Team. By contrast, the Fête de la Moisson focuses on the harvest and agriculture, while Tout Boos Bouge brought together a range of sports and physical activities.
The specific years help put these examples in context: the market and harvest activities mentioned were part of the 2025 programme, while the sporting activities were part of the 2023 edition. If you would like to combine your stay with an event, check the dates and programmes in advance.
