Bois-Guillaume offers a range of things to enjoy during a stay: green trails, nature, historic buildings and activities for children. If you are looking for a hotel in Bois-Guillaume, these highlights can help guide your choice of destination. You can explore the trails and sights according to the interests that matter to you on your trip.

Trails through Bois-Guillaume

ForĂŞt Verte is close to the town centre. It is a place for long walks on foot or by bicycle. The commune also has numerous footpaths and cycle paths; many routes can be used on foot, on horseback or by bicycle. This gives you different ways to explore the area, although the routes do not all follow the same course or direction.

The 11-kilometre “Cailly-Robec” cycle route passes through Bois-Guillaume and runs between Maromme railway station and Carrefour de la Vielle. The “Plaine de la Ronce” cycle route offers a different option: it runs from north to south between ZAC de la Plaine de la Ronce and Carrefour de la Vielle. Its route passes via the Rouges Terres cemetery, Sente des Forrières, Avenue Henri Dunant and Chemin de la Bretèque. The key details distinguish the routes: a length is specified for Cailly-Robec, while the north–south direction and several points along the way are highlighted for Plaine de la Ronce. Check the current route signs before setting out.

Nature and activities for children

Along the “Mares en verger” biodiversity trail, information is provided about natural habitats such as ponds, hedges, an orchard and the forest. It starts at the corner of Rue Noble Épine and Rue Tourne Midi, near number 545 Rue du Tourne Midi. Nature enthusiasts will find a trail whose theme is reflected both in its name and in the habitats mentioned.

Parc Andersen covers two hectares and is classified as woodland. The park has a large playground designed for around forty children aged two to twelve at a time. The age range and approximate simultaneous capacity offer practical information if you are planning a stay with children.

The Bois-Guillaume pony club also offers activities for children and teenagers: riding lessons are available for ages four to 17 from Monday to Saturday. During school holidays, the programme also includes riding courses, outings, competitions and hikes; schedules may vary. Lessons during the week and the holiday programme are different options to factor into your plans depending on when you travel. Check the specific dates in advance.

Culture and historic buildings

The Church of Sainte Trinité preserves the lantern tower and former nave of the older church. The Manoir presbytéral is a rare half-timbered building and is listed in the General Inventory of Historic Monuments and Treasures of France. In 2010, after almost two years of work, it was restored and opened its doors for cultural activities such as solfège, visual arts and sculpture.

Espace Guillaume le Conquérant is a venue at 1530 Rue de la Haie. Alongside the historic buildings, it represents another aspect of Bois-Guillaume’s cultural life: in addition to older buildings, there is also a named event venue. If culture is part of your trip, you can use these different places as points of reference when planning.

Bus connections

Line F1 connects Bois-Guillaume (Rouges Terres) with Grand-Quevilly (Zénith-Parc Expo). Bus 321 runs from Bois-Guillaume (Collège L. de Vinci) to Rouen (Gare-Rue Verte). If you plan to use one of these connections, check the current timetable before travelling.
