Saint-Pierre-De-Trivisy: Hiking, Nature and Leisure
Accommodation in Saint-Pierre-De-Trivisy
Saint-Pierre-De-Trivisy offers several ways to enjoy a stay in the great outdoors: marked hiking trails, activities at Aventure Parc, and nature and leisure areas at the “La Forêt” leisure centre. To help with planning, first consider how much time you want to set aside for a walk or activity. The approximate walking times for the trails range from about one hour to around four and a half hours. Leisure activities and nature-focused options also offer alternatives to longer routes.
Hikes by time and distance
The Sentier de la Trivalle has two marked loops. The red loop is three kilometres long, takes about an hour, runs mostly in the shade and is suitable for families. The blue loop is 4.5 kilometres long, takes around an hour and a half and is considered relatively easy. The red route is therefore the shorter and quicker of the two, while the blue route covers more distance with a walking time of around an hour and a half as well.
The blue-marked Circuit du Garriguet is also listed as taking about an hour and a half. It is five kilometres long and passes through the pleasant countryside around Saint-Pierre-de-Trivisy. Its duration is about the same as that of the blue loop on the Sentier de la Trivalle, which is slightly shorter at 4.5 kilometres. For a significantly longer outing, the yellow-marked Circuit de la Maison de la Vallée is a different proposition: it is 13 kilometres long, takes about four and a half hours and includes some challenging sections. These time and distance details help you distinguish shorter loops from a longer hike.
Activities and nature at the leisure centre
If you would like to plan activities in addition to hiking, Aventure Parc offers a different kind of experience. The courses are protected by a continuous safety line. The park also offers bungee jumping, airbag jumps, catapult jumps and paintball in a two-hectare woodland area. Please check the operator’s current opening conditions before travelling.
The “La Forêt” leisure centre is located in the centre of Saint-Pierre-de-Trivisy, next to the municipal forest. It is open to visitors free of charge all year round; nevertheless, check the access conditions before your visit. The leisure centre includes a mini-golf course. This brings together a leisure activity and a spot by the municipal forest, without requiring you to choose one of the longer hikes.
Nature enthusiasts can discover the wildlife of the local valleys, mountains and forests at the free Espace biodiversité. The “les trésors de la nature” trail introduces the forest’s biodiversity in a playful, sensory way. This means the leisure centre offers two different ways to connect with nature: learning about wildlife across several types of landscape and following a trail devoted to the diversity of the forest.
Fishing at Plan d'eau de la Broussonnié
Day, week, annual and no-kill fishing permits are available for Plan d'eau de la Broussonnié. They can be purchased at the tourist office and at Ets Barthes. Fishing can therefore also be included as a separate focus when choosing activities.
