La Boissiere offers several distinct starting points for planning your trip: a leisure park in a natural forest, the GR®653, a cycling loop and a local cultural attraction. This selection can help you decide whether leisure activities, a longer route, or the landscape and culture should shape your hotel stay.

Leisure in the natural forest

Au Pays des Carrioles is a leisure park in the municipality of La Boissière, set in a very shady natural forest. There are soapbox activities for children and adults. Rides on eco-friendly minibikes, drift trikes and mini quads are intended for people aged 16 and over and for adults. The activities therefore vary by vehicle type and age group. As availability may change, check the current offering before visiting.

The GR®653 and cycling loop

The 43 km GR®653 passes through La Boissière and connects Montpellier with Saint-Guilhem-le-Désert. You can take a break along the route at Lac de La Boissière, where the lake provides a relaxing setting. The trail thus connects two named places and also passes through La Boissière.

The Boucle Cyclo N°2 is a 22.7 km cycling loop rated very easy. Between Saint-Paul-et-Valmalle and La Boissière, it follows the banks of the Coulazou stream. This offers a shorter cycling route alongside the 43 km GR®653, which connects Montpellier with Saint-Guilhem-le-Désert. Check the latest route information before setting out.

Forest and landscape

The Arboussas forest massif borders La Boissière and is made up of evergreen oaks. A different landscape can be seen on the section of the Boucle Cyclo N°2 from La Boissière to Argelliers: it passes through garrigue and vineyards, along roads lined with oak trees and rocks. This allows you to plan separately for the natural area around the village and the landscape along this stretch of the route.

Culture and a look at farm operations

The Saint-Louis-de-Gonzague Chapel in La Boissière adds a local cultural attraction to the nature and route-related options.

Les Cochons des Agriolles raises farm pigs using traditional methods, without genetic engineering, antibiotics, growth promoters or artificial insemination. Guided tours of the farm are available on request. Arrange a time before you arrive and ask about current farming practices.

The range also includes various products made and processed on the farm, with no added colourings, preservatives or other additives. The product range and visiting arrangements may change. If you are interested in the products, ask about the current selection in advance; to visit the farm, arrange a time directly with the farm.
