Félines-Minervois brings together cultural history, trails, wine offerings and recurring events. The church and mill, a variety of trail descriptions, the open-air market and events offer concrete ways to plan your stay. You can focus on architecture, plants, wine or local events.

Culture and Architectural History

The Maison du Patrimoine houses the collections of the Culture et Patrimoine association; an exhibition room displays some of them. The collection and exhibition contents may change. The Maison du patrimoine et des archives was inaugurated above the library in 2013.

The Church of Notre Dame de l’Assomption dates from 1694, has three naves and is designed in the Gothic style. The church includes a museum of liturgical objects. Access and the items on display may change, so check both before visiting. The church thus brings together architecture and religious objects as distinct aspects.

Mill, Views and Trails

The Moulin de Félines dates from 1780 and was restored in 2000. Forty-two grape varieties are planted at the foot of the mill; the planting may change. The Sentier Poétique et Botanique connects the Capitelles with the Moulin de Félines. The botanical Sentier des Capitelles is a loop of less than an hour between the mill and the terraces of Pech de Marassi. Around 40 plant species are identified along this loop. The details therefore differ: grape varieties are planted at the foot of the mill, while around 40 plant species are identified along the loop.

The Croix Blanche overlooks the village and offers a distinctive viewpoint. The easy out-and-back walk takes one hour. When planning your time, you can compare this with the Capitelles loop, which takes less than an hour: one route leads to the Croix Blanche, while the other connects the mill with the terraces of Pech de Marassi.

Market, Events and Wine

An open-air market takes place in Félines-Minervois on Saturday mornings. As market times may change, check in advance whether it fits your stay. An annual Lavender Day also features harvesting and distillation, along with musical and poetic entertainment. Hikes are organized several times a year in the Félines area. The traditional Easter omelette is always held on Easter Monday.

The wine offerings also include a variety of formats. Domaine Benjamin Baudet offers tastings at its wine cellar, as well as walks or tastings in the vineyards. Domaine Vieux Continent is open year-round and sells wine at the estate; it occasionally organizes cellar events, vineyard walks and tasting evenings, or offers them by reservation. If you are planning a specific activity, take its reservation requirement into account.
