The Église de l’Assomption de Moissy-Cramayel was built in the 12th century and has been included in the supplementary list of historic monuments since 1926. The dates for the Obélisque de Cramayel are later: François Fontaine, the lord of the Château de Cramayel, had it erected in 1767. The 25-metre-high stone monument bears a gilded copper globe at its summit. The obelisk can be seen when approaching via Avenue Pierre Aubergé.
