Morangis: Culture, Leisure and Seasonal Markets
Accommodation in Morangis
A trip to Morangis can be planned from different perspectives: road connections, seasonal opening hours, sports activities and cultural history each offer a different focus. If you are looking for a hotel in Morangis, you can first consider which of these topics matter to your stay. This makes it possible to connect your choice of location with specific things to do, without having to plan a fixed daily itinerary in advance.
Getting to Morangis
By car, you can reach Morangis via the A6 motorway, exit 5 at Chilly-Mazarin, or via the RN7 through Savigny-sur-Orge or Athis-Mons. RATP bus routes 399 connect Juvisy and Massy-Palaiseau, 492 connect Chilly-Mazarin and Savigny-sur-Orge, 299 connect Morangis and Porte d’Orléans, and 297 connect Longjumeau and Antony. The service is supplemented by the free shuttle routes B and C operated by the Communauté d’agglomération Paris-Saclay. The routes changed in summer 2026; check current services before travelling.
Parks and Outdoor Activities
Parc Saint-Michel is located on Rue du Général Leclerc. Its seasonal opening hours are staggered: from 3 November to 31 March, 8 a.m. to 6 p.m.; from 1 April to 31 May, 8 a.m. to 8 p.m.; from 1 June to 31 August, 8 a.m. to 9 p.m.; and from 1 September to 2 November, 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. The park is therefore open the longest in summer, while in winter it closes as early as 6 p.m. Check the current opening hours before your visit.
There are various options for other outdoor activities. The skatepark on Rue de Savigny has features and ramps for skateboarding, scootering and BMX riding. Archery is offered at Jardin d’arc André Goulet on Rue de Wissous. These two locations cater to different sports, from wheeled activities to archery.
History and Culture
Église Saint-Michel was built in the 13th century; only the church’s bell tower remains. Another historic site is today’s Espace Saint-Michel: an orphanage stood there until 1974. The Saint-Michel building houses a municipal dance school and a municipal music school. Médiathèque de Morangis hosts events and activities for all age groups. Morangis thus brings together a medieval architectural heritage, more recent local history, and present-day cultural and educational offerings.
Events and Local Products
The Salon du Livre et de la Gastronomie brings together literature and gastronomy. At its second edition in 2024, local products such as jams, flours, oils and beers were showcased. The Marché de Noël in Morangis is a recurring event featuring a food and craft market, as well as activities for children and adults. The specific programme may vary from year to year. The two events have different focuses: the Salon combines books and food, while the Christmas market brings food and crafts together with activities for children and adults.
FootGolf and Disc Golf
Another sporting option is FootGolf GreenPark Morangis, with an eight-hectare green space near Paris. FootGolf and disc golf are offered there on an 18-hole course. The two activities share a course but have different sporting focuses. Check the current access and use conditions before visiting.
