Perrigny-Lès-Dijon lies between the grain-growing plain and the Côte wine-growing area. Église Saint-André, the archaeological remains at Château de Perrigny, Parc municipal, Musée du cerf-volant and Circuit des Louères give the area a range of historical, cultural and landscape-related points of interest. If you are looking for a hotel in Perrigny-Lès-Dijon, you can decide which of these themes to focus on: architectural history, the museum, the park or a walk.

Église Saint-André and Château de Perrigny

Église Saint-André was consecrated in 1682. Its floor plan is in the shape of a Latin cross, and it also has a square bell tower with a spire. A Latin cross floor plan means that a longer main arm is joined by a cross arm running perpendicular to it. The floor plan and tower can therefore be considered as distinct architectural features. The year of consecration adds a specific historical reference to these architectural forms.

The now-ruined Château de Perrigny offers a different historical perspective. The former site was characterized by a tumulus measuring approximately 40 × 50 meters and 2.5 meters high. The foundations of a round tower, 16 meters in diameter and 3 meters high, were also discovered on the site. The tower was probably begun in the 14th century but was never completed. Archaeological surveys uncovered 15th-century floors. The dates refer to different findings: the estimated start of construction concerns the tower, while the floors date from the 15th century.

Parc municipal and the landscape

Parc municipal has old trees, including Atlas cedars, Weymouth pines, plane trees, maples and acacias. The park adjoins Château de Perrigny, which is now in ruins. The trees and the historical connection to the former château are two distinct points of interest here. If you would like to include a landscape feature of the area alongside architectural and archaeological remains, you can make the park a focus of your visit.

A walk on Circuit des Louères

Circuit des Louères is a very easy, three-kilometer walking route. It passes through the village, with the vineyard slopes in the background. This makes the route different from the historical sites associated with the church and château: it offers a defined walking distance and a landscape setting. While Perrigny-Lès-Dijon's location between the grain-growing plain and the wine-growing area places it in its wider surroundings, the vineyard slopes stand out as a backdrop along Circuit des Louères. Check current trail conditions before setting out.

Musée du cerf-volant

Musée du cerf-volant is located in Perrigny-Lès-Dijon and was founded by Nasser Volant. Its location and history make it another cultural point of interest alongside the church and archaeological remains. If you are planning a visit, check the current opening hours in advance.
