Sperrebotn offers a range of ways to tailor your stay to your interests: paddling on Vansjø, alpaca experiences, a climbing area and Bergerås hillfort. The wider Våler destination also offers more cultural attractions, winter sports and bathing spots.

Canoeing and kayaking on Vansjø

At the Dillingøy ferry landing near Sperrebotn, there is a small car park and a boat ramp maintained by Våler Municipality. From there, you can launch a canoe or kayak and paddle on Vansjø. As facilities and maintenance may change, check the condition of the facility before your visit. Also take local water conditions into account before setting off.

Alpakkagaarden rents spacious two- and three-person canoes for trips on Vansjø. Check with them for current rental and booking arrangements before making firm plans for your trip. This lets you account for using the ramp and possibly renting a canoe as separate parts of your planning.

Alpacas, group activities and climbing

Alpaca walks are offered year-round at Alpakkagaarden. You can also book an alpaca safari, where you spend time with the alpacas at the farm. The experiences have different focuses: on a walk, you go out with the animals, while the safari centres on spending time together at the farm.

The Eventsenter at Vålerveien 1148 in Sperrebotn is an activity park for businesses, bachelor and bachelorette parties, birthdays and groups looking to spend an unusual day. For climbing enthusiasts, there is the Sperrebotn climbing area. Vestby Klatreklubb describes it as the largest climbing area near the club.
