Třeboc combines a historic centre with a variety of landscapes. The western and southern parts of the municipality are treeless and used for agriculture; the eastern part is covered by a continuous forest. This distribution gives you a concrete indication of the character of the surroundings: open land and forest lie in different parts of the same municipality. The historic centre lies around a spacious village green running alongside the road. A village green is a village space laid out lengthwise along a road; in Třeboc, it shapes the layout of the historic centre. This makes it possible to understand Třeboc both through the structure of its centre and through the contrast between open and wooded parts of the municipality.

Village Centre and Chapels

The Opuková kaple (Marlstone Chapel) stands in the village square in Třeboc; it dates from 1889. The Chapel of St. Adalbert (sv. Vojtěcha) is in the Neo-Romanesque style and dates from the late 19th century. Its rectangular nave ends in an apse; a polygonal bell turret sits on the ridge of the gabled roof. The nave is the elongated main space, the apse is the structure at the end, and the bell turret is a small roof structure. Neo-Romanesque refers to the revival of Romanesque architectural forms. These terms distinguish the building elements: the nave and apse describe the floor plan, while the bell turret is part of the roof. The dates also offer different levels of precision: an exact year is given for the Opuková kaple, while the Chapel of St. Adalbert is dated to the late 19th century. Thus, an exact year and a broader date range are presented side by side.

Events in the Village

Local festivities include fire brigade balls and church-festival celebrations held in Třeboc. These events complement the village’s architectural history with a glimpse of community gatherings. If you would like to plan your stay around one of these events, check the specific date in advance.

Landscape, Spring and Nature Trail

One specific natural feature is the Pramen Třebockého potoka 1 spring. It lies on the northern slope of Džbán, right beside the Kroučová–Třeboc road. The Uhelná nature trail runs through the eastern part of Třeboc’s cadastral area. The spring’s location is specified by the northern slope and the adjacent road; the trail is identified by its route through the eastern part of the area. This distinguishes a single landscape feature from a route and provides two different spatial reference points for understanding the surroundings.

The Wider Landscape

The Džbán Nature Park lies in the wider regional surroundings of Třeboc. It is a hilly landscape on the border between Central and Northern Bohemia and was designated in 1994 for its exceptional and well-preserved landscape and natural character. The focus here is not on a single building or location, but on a hilly landscape and its protected character. By contrast, open farmland and forest describe different parts of the municipality; the nature park extends the scale to the wider region. The village centre and the nature park therefore represent two spatial levels: a view of Třeboc itself and the landscape setting of the wider area.
