If you are interested in rural life and local history, Košík offers several ways to explore these themes. Biofarma Košík offers farm tours and guided excursions; sheep’s milk products and historical sites add to this focus. For planning purposes, the themes can be distinguished clearly: the farm offers insight into agriculture and cheese-making, while the cross, memorial and archaeological traces tell the story of the village. A marked tourist route and the Sovoluský potok, which flows through Košík, provide further local orientation.

Farm Tours, Excursions and Products

Biofarma Košík offers farm tours and guided excursions. In addition to the farm tour, the excursions include a milking demonstration and cheese-making. This makes it easy to distinguish between a farm tour and the extended excursion programme: the latter includes both additional activities. Visitor arrangements may change, so check which offer is available before your visit.

The sheep’s milk products from Farma Košík include the white cheese Hrudka, an Emmental-style hard cheese, smoked Oštiepok, Bryndza, Žinčica, Parenica and Oštěpok. The selection therefore goes beyond a single type of cheese and gives the local food tradition some specific names. If you are looking for a particular product, bear in mind that seasonal availability may vary.

Children can also meet a donkey and a pony at Farma Košík. This adds an animal-focused perspective to the tours and food offerings. The animals’ availability may change, so if this is relevant to your plans, check in advance.

Local History and Memorials

A sandstone cross in Košík depicts the crucifixion of Jesus Christ. The memorial in the village was erected in 1928 and depicts the seated figure of a lonely, grieving woman. An inscription and the names of the victims are carved on its front and both sides. The cross and the memorial have different emphases: one depicts a religious scene, while the other commemorates the dead with a figure, inscription and names.

There was once a fortress in Košík. A large La Tène-era cemetery of skeletal burials was destroyed on the northwestern outskirts, at the former Horák brickworks.

The settlements associated with Košík also have an agricultural origin: they developed around farmsteads belonging to the church of Rožďalovice. This extends the historical perspective beyond individual memorials to the development of the settlements.

Landscape and Getting There

The Sovoluský potok flows through Košík, and a marked tourist route also passes through the village. The stream and route serve different planning purposes: the stream is a local landscape feature, while the route provides tourist guidance. If you plan to follow the route, check its current course in advance.

Košík has a bus stop. If you plan to use it to get there, check the journey times for your travel date.
