Bërxullë – Landscape, Water and Culture
Accommodation in Bërxullë
Landscape and Olive Trees
Bërxullë is characterized by gently rolling terrain, with hills reaching heights of up to 150 m. The forests in Bërxullë cover 5.75 ha. Kodër Bërxulli is known for stands of centuries-old olive trees. These features show different facets of the rural landscape: terrain, forest area and olive groves. If the surroundings matter when choosing your destination, this gives you more than a single point of reference for the landscape and helps you place Bërxullë as a destination with a rural character.
Reservoir and River
The Zajca Reservoir is located in Kodër Bërxull. The Limuth River runs through the Bërxullë area and is 2 km long. This identifies two distinct water features: a reservoir with a fixed location and a river whose course is described in relation to the area. The first reference situates the reservoir in Kodër Bërxull; the second describes the Limuth as a waterway running through Bërxullë.
Finding Your Way When Arriving
The center of the village of Bërxullë is about 1.6 km to the right of the Tiranë–Durrës highway, as seen from the Limuth Bridge. The National Road Qafë-Kashari–Rrinas is a separate route that runs through the Bërxullë area. The first detail locates the village center in relation to the bridge and highway; the second identifies a road that crosses the area. Before setting out, check for possible roadworks and current road access arrangements so you can adapt your journey to the conditions at the time.
Cultural Site in the Bërxullë Administrative Unit
The “Ebu Baker” Mosque is located on Zajza Street, in the Bërxullë administrative unit of the municipality of Vorë. A 2022 petition describes it as being visited by numerous worshippers. If you would like to include the mosque in your travel plans, check in advance on current visiting arrangements.
Rural Tourism Listing
In July 2024, a register listed Agroturizëm Vëllezërit Gjana at Rr. Bërxull in Tirana as “Active.” Its registered activities included accommodation as part of rural tourism, as well as food and drink. If you are considering the establishment for an overnight stay or a visit, check in advance whether accommodation is currently offered and whether visits are possible.
Choose a Hotel for Your Stay
Consider whether you mainly want to get a sense of the landscape, visit a specific address, or use the village center and the stated transport links as your points of reference. Then check the location details for the specific hotel offer and compare them with your plans. This helps you base your choice on the local points of reference that are actually relevant to your stay, rather than using only the destination name as your criterion.
