Discover Lejbølle through its different highlights: Lejbøllegaard and Bogby Langeland give the area a cultural and historical dimension, while the coast near Lejbølle and Bøstrup is characterised by cliffs and small rocky reefs. There is also the Lejbølle Hjortebane, a coastal fishing spot and a section of the “Gå Langeland rundt” trail. When planning your trip, you can decide whether you are particularly interested in architectural and art history, coastal scenery or a specific activity.

Lejbøllegaard and Bogby Langeland

The present-day Lejbøllegaard was built in 1891 and is still used for farming. Its construction date and continued use represent two different perspectives on time: on the one hand, the estate can be viewed in its historical context; on the other, farming remains part of its operation to this day.

Lejbøllegaard is home to Bogby Langeland, with a 1,200 m² second-hand market and a bookshop with more than 30,000 books. The two offerings have different focuses: one centres on second-hand goods, the other on books for sale. The market’s area and layout, as well as the size of the book collection, may change.

The Bogby Langeland visitor experience also includes ceiling and wall decorations created by master painter Daniel Weech in the late 19th century. This brings together Bogby Langeland’s present-day functions as a market and bookshop with historic interior decorations. This distinction may matter when deciding what interests you: you can explore both the collections and the site’s connection to art.

Target shooting and trail route

Lejbølle Hjortebane is a modern rifle shooting range with, among other things, electronic running-deer targets. The facilities may be updated. The standard hourly rental includes sighting-in, as well as the deer and wild boar ranges; rental terms may change.

Open training has its own time slot: during the summer half of the year, from 1 April to 30 September, Lejbølle Hjortebane offers it on Tuesdays from 16:00 to 18:00. Check the schedule before your visit. This lets you take the stated training time into account when planning, without confusing it with the standard hourly rental.

Stage 9 of the “Gå Langeland rundt” trail is 10 km long and passes the shooting range area near Lejbølle. For this section, the route is to walk along the beach or a little further inland; only a few obstacles are noted for the stage. The total length and the guidance on the route on the ground provide different points of reference for your planning. As route conditions can change, check them before setting out.

Coast and fishing spot

The coast near Lejbølle and Bøstrup along the Langeland Belt has varied terrain, with cliffs and small rocky reefs. Channels and sandbanks alternate between the reefs, and the landscape also features changes in elevation and depth. The seabed may change over time.

“Nedergaard – Havørred Fyn Hotspot nr. 48” is a fishing spot on the coast near Lejbølle and Bøstrup. As seabed conditions can change from year to year, it is best to take the current situation into account when planning. For a visit to the coast, you can choose between exploring its landforms and visiting a specifically named fishing spot.
