The beach in the bay is mostly fine sand. Near Vučine, there are two pebble beaches with easy access to the water and shade from pine trees. This gives you a choice of two different types of beach along the coast: fine sand in the bay, or pebbles and pine shade at Vučine. You can reach the smaller Kremena Bay from the local church or from the waterfront in Zuljana. Beach conditions and access may vary seasonally.

Churches, Local History and Activities

Four old churches are visible around the beaches of Zuljana: Gospe od Sedam Žalosti, Sv. Roko-Julijana, Sv. Nikola and Sv. Martin. The Church of Sv. Roko-Julijana is in the centre of Zuljana. Ruins of old farmsteads also preserve traces of earlier wine-growing, olive cultivation and agricultural life. View the ruins from a safe distance.

Local diving centres offer organized diving in Zuljana; availability and operators may vary by season. On the Pelješac Peninsula, wine routes also connect visits to wineries and vineyards in Metohija, Boljenovići, Sparagovići, Putnikovići and Dubrava. Those looking beyond the coast to wine tours will find a distinct regional point of interest here.

Hiking from Zuljana

A hiking trail to Mount Sveti Ivan starts at Zuljana beach and climbs towards Vučine Bay. The route is 6 km long, with an elevation gain of 465 m. The elevation gain adds a second practical detail alongside the route length to help you plan.
