Lake Lokvarsko and its lakeside path

Lake Lokvarsko is located in Lokve. The artificial lake is up to 40 metres deep and surrounded by coniferous forests. In the wider destination of Općina Lokve, Lake Lokvarsko was created as a reservoir in the 1950s.

A range of recreational activities are possible at the lake: in summer, you can swim, and other activities include fishing, hiking and cycling. Traditional gatherings of hikers and cyclists are also held at the lake. This means you can enjoy your stay in different ways, without all activities being tied to the same season.

For a walk by the water, there is a 4-kilometre path along the lakeshore. It follows the contours of the lake through the forest and offers views of the water. Small bathing spots may be accessible at some points. Local conditions can change, so check the path conditions before setting out.
